With another week under his belt, the husband was able to pass his sewer system installation inspection and get the trenches filled in. I never thought I’d be so happy to see a fake rock on the top of our dirt as I am!
Thanks to the recent rain, Devil’s Elbow Spring was flowing and he was also able to get 1,000 gallons of water in the holding tank so we’ll have fresh water in The Sapling.
The elk activity at In The Sticks Cabins was light this weekend. We heard a lot of bugling, thanks to the fall-like weather on Saturday, but didn’t get to see any bulls. The husband did snap a picture of this guy with one antler earlier in the week. Hopefully it’ll stay cool now and we’ll get a few more good weeks of rut.
